The swimming pool in Lincoln Park offered bathers a fun and cool spot to spend the summer months.

hi, I grew up in the Youngstown area near Roosevelt park in the late sixties and early seveties. Graduating from YSU in 1976. Lincoln park at that time was a place where allot of baseball was played and there was a "Council Rock" where legend had it the Indians had a big pow wow during a thunderstorm a lightening bolt struck the rock and it was split. The pool in the seventies was still operational but I went to Roosevelt park more since it was closer. Wonder how Roosevelt Park is doing in Campbell. I do remember that it cost a quarter to get a basketand lock to hold your clothes while you swam. You had a key on a nylon wrist band that you put on your wrist or ankle while you swam and if you lost that it was tough luck. You had to bring your parents down to get your clothes, LOL
