The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Station

The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Station, opened in 1905, is a beautiful structure that still remains near the Mahoning River on lower Mahoning Ave. While the B & O R.R. no longer exists, Amtrak provides service to Youngstown, stopping at "The B & O." A current lack of funding means a they will no longer provide a stop in Youngstown beginning around March 1, 2005. At one time, all of the nation's major railroad companies had stations in Youngstown, due to its location between Chicago-New York and Cleveland-Pittsburgh.
